.Dr Emmanuel Iwu is an experienced Dental Surgeon with a special interest in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Oral Medicine and Oral Pathology. He brings extensive hospital-based surgical experience to Faith Dental, having spent over 10 years working within Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery departments across the UK and the Republic of Ireland.

During his hospital career, Dr Emmanuel gained broad experience in oral and maxillofacial surgery and was involved in the surgical management of complex conditions, including oral cancer, orthognathic surgery and a wide range of oral surgical procedures.

He holds Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow (MFDS RCPS Glasg) and the Licentiate in Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of England (LDS RCS Eng).

Oral surgery is a particular focus of Dr Emmanuel’s clinical practice. He has extensive experience carrying out complex and surgical dental extractions and has provided private Minor Oral Surgery clinics accepting referrals from dental practices across Yorkshire and Lincolnshire.

At Faith Dental, Dr Emmanuel provides oral surgery consultations and treatment for patients requiring more complex dental extractions, including difficult and surgical extractions and wisdom tooth removal. He accepts referrals directly from dentists outside Faith Dental, as well as self-referrals from patients who would like to access his oral surgery services without a referral from their own dentist.

His experience means that many patients can have their treatment carried out promptly within the comfortable surroundings of our private practice, without the need for onward referral or potentially lengthy hospital waiting times.

Despite the surgical nature of his work, Dr Emmanuel is known for his calm, friendly and reassuring manner. He understands that the prospect of oral surgery can make patients understandably anxious and takes time to explain procedures clearly, answer questions and help patients feel comfortable throughout their treatment.

Alongside oral surgery, Dr Emmanuel provides care across general and restorative dentistry and works closely with the wider Faith Dental team where a multidisciplinary approach to a patient’s care is beneficial.

Outside dentistry, Emmanuel enjoys travelling, playing tennis and keeping fit at the gym.
